Kicking Off Our Summer School Series: Battling the Need for Approval
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday.
Today is a big day because we’re kicking off our summer school series! I’ve wanted to host a summer school podcast series since starting the SundayMonday, and this year we’re doing it! I am so encouraged by St. Joan of Arc – her courage and heroism to trust in God and battle for truth inspires me to do the same in my work and life. I hear from so many of you who feel like going into work often feels like entering the battlefield, and so this seemed like a perfect series to launch! Each week, I’ll explore another area where we enter into battle: loneliness, anxiety, disappointment, doubt, and lies. My desire is to offer super practical tips and real life examples so we can all be fully clothed with the armor of truth and live the lives that God calls us to!
You can find our first summer school episode, Battling the Need for Approval, here.
If you have a recommendation for this series, please hit reply and let me know! I’m excited to journey through this with you.
God Bless,
Jane
What we’re loving lately
Summer Reads
There is nothing better than devouring a good book in a day/a few days. On my flight back yesterday, I devoured Lucy Foley’s The Guest List. It was a thrill! Reading a good book for hours reminds me of my summer days when I was a kid. I’m on Goodreads now, trying to hit 20 books this year (still chugging through Anna Karenina, almost there!) and would love to connect with you!
Little Social Media Fasts
I took a few weeks away from social media over the past few weeks and it was so good. I love a little break. It reminds me that when I’m having fun with people I love, social media is just plain boring. I’ve also been thinking – is there anyone who feels refueled or encouraged by social media? My relationship with it is so complicated. I’d love to hear how you all navigate it.

A Beautiful Innocence
A couple of weeks ago, two of my friends discovered that I had never read John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men. To remedy that, one of them lent me her book and I dove in. I really enjoyed East of Eden and was excited for another journey through my beloved Northern...
Should women work?
I get asked all the time about my thoughts on whether women should be in the workplace or at home with their families. I am extraordinarily unequipped to answer this question, yet I get it frequently. I think it’s because (especially in the Catholic women's space)...
