by | Sep 20, 2022 | Bold in Life, The SundayMonday Tuesday Archives

Hello everyone and welcome back!

Some fun things on my mind this week – the podcast is back for season 3!! Super duper excited for you to hear from my dear friend Danielle all about her experiences navigating mental health challenges as a Catholic woman. This season, we’ll be bringing you tons of interviews with people I love, and we’re talking about hard things. Work and motherhood, making tough decisions, fighting for balance and good health, and more. Be sure to subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts!

Also, this week I’ve been thinking a lot about reclaiming the sabbath. You can read all about it here.

Thank you to everyone who sent kind notes and donations for my marathon! I’m really grateful for this community and glad to have you here πŸ™‚ I hope you have a fantastic week!

What we’re loving lately

Text your friends”

I recently came across this NY Times article about the value of sending your friends a quick text message. I’ve seen the fruits of this practice again and again in my life – sending a quick text is so easy, and now there’s a whole bunch of research backing up why it’s important! A quick text message allows us to tell someone we’re thinking of them and helps us hold onto our friendships in a low-touch way. Send someone a text today!

Episode 62: OCD, mental health, and the Church with Danielle Brouillard

To kick off season 3 (!!) I’m speaking with my dear friend, Danielle, about her journey from diagnosis through today with OCD and generalized anxiety disorder. These are conversations that I’m honored to be having, and I’m so grateful for her vulnerability and openness on this topic. I hope that this episode encourages you or gives you a new perspective on how our Church wants our holistic wellness – mind, body, and soul.

Bishop Barron in conversation with Shia LaBeouf

I’m sure many of you have seen this, but wanted to share for anyone who hasn’t yet! It’s a fantastic discussion between Bishop Barron and Shia LaBeouf around faith, and Shia’s perspective and newfound faith are beautiful and quite thought-provoking. This video made me want to sprint to the mass!
