Hello my friends!!
This is going to be a quick one because a whole lot is going on this week and I have literally 2.5 minutes to pause from that and write this lil newsletter for you, so this week I’m just sharing a few things on my mind:
+ I once heard someone say that sitting in Adoration is like basking in the light of the Son - you don’t have to do much, you can just sit there and let Him “tan” you. I think that’s the loveliest image. I think of it often, and especially this past weekend as I sat in (quite a few) parks and let the warm, warm sun shine on me. I cannot tell you - after a long, chilly winter, there is NOTHING like a warm, warm sunny day. Thank you Jesus!
+ The joys of home. I spent some good time this weekend looking at my little apartment and my little neighborhood and thinking about how dang much I love it here. DC has the most special place in my heart, and I’m grateful that I found a place where I feel so happy, welcomed, and home. There’s nothing like coming back from (or being about to head out on) a big adventure that makes me appreciate my home more.
+ Little miracles. I had some good, gooood chats with friends this week about faith. I swear, if it were an option, that’s all I’d do all day every day. I never tire of hearing and seeing and watching how God is moving in the most personal, intimate, generous ways in the lives of the people around me. I find that seeing miracles in little things all around me helps me remember that He can (and does) do big things, too.
+ Almost one week of no airpods and the experience has been… weird? Like I feel more scattered getting ready in silence than I did when I had a podcast going at 1.75x speed in my ear. Strange. On the other hand, I survived my first “silent” run ever. It was boring until I started solving all of the world’s problems, then, it was fun.
That’s all I’ve got for you this week! Please pray for me, and know of my prayers for you :)
In Christ,
Jane
