There can be miracles
What are your thoughts on miracles?
If you're a big Prince of Egypt fan (like me), you probably think of that breathtaking scene where the Israelites, standing at the edge of the impossible, sing about miracles as the Red Sea parts before them. It’s a moment of awe, power, and divine faithfulness.
But this week, miracles came up in a much more ordinary setting. A friend asked me, "If you could ask God for a miracle, what would it be?" Without hesitation, I knew my answer. And I bet you know yours, too.
Our answer to this question is revealing. It exposes what’s gripping our hearts—our deepest struggle, hope, dream, or fear. But it also invites reflection: Have I truly brought this to God? Not just as a fleeting prayer, but with a raw, expectant faith that He can and will move?
I go through waves in my faith. Sometimes, I see God everywhere — His presence is undeniable, woven into my daily life. Other times, I feel distant, crying out for even the smallest sign of His faithfulness. And if I'm honest, there are moments when my longing for a miracle becomes so consuming that I fixate on it rather than on Him. That’s when I know I need to surrender it — fully, freely, and with trust.
So, as we step into this week, let’s be women who bring our deepest desires before God, not with clenched fists but with open hands. Let’s have the courage to entrust and surrender them to Him, knowing He is always at work for our good. And let's keep our eyes on the Lord, the miracle worker, the perfecter of our faith, Who works all things for our good.
What will you bring to Him this week?
In Christ,
Jane
What I'm loving lately:
I love this
“Have patience with all things — but first with yourself. Never confuse your mistakes with your value as a human being. You are a valuable, creative, worthwhile person simply because you exist. No amount of triumphs or tribulations can alter that.” ― St. Francis de Sales
I began wearing 50 SPF daily sunscreen, and I am now whiter than paper. It didn't feel very nice, and I wanted to get my glow back, so I cautiously tried the Isle of Paradise tanning drops and I cannot tell you how happy they made me!! Just two little drops in my face lotion and I have a sunkissed glow again. If you're feeling grouchy or pasty from this frigid winter, I highly recommend them (I used the medium shade).
I love Bishop Barron and really enjoyed this homily from this week!
